Wendy’s Rules to Live By

Here’s my entry for the August challenge at the Wendy Vecchi Yahoo Group…. an easy one using any diecut and at least one of Wendy’s Studio 490 stamps.  I’ve been in a big sorting mode and this prompted me to sort and cull some dies that I no longer use.  Here’s the newly spiffed up die-cut section of my working area:

The best part of sorting is finding forgotten oldies but goodies, like the red Sizzix “Clipboard and Holder” die.  It comes with two different sized clipboards and a pencil.  I coupled it with one of my favorite Wendy stamps… Rules to Live By as well as a Dina Wakley silhouette gal, some of Tim’s Idea-ology and one of his new stencils. I used my tiny Xyron Teresa Collins Sticker Maker to hold down the metal tab portion of the clipboard while I painted it.

I could then remove it and reposition it onto the board:

Also perfect for applying adhesive to the tiny pencil:

Thanks so much for the visit.  Wishing all in the U.S. a very happy and relaxing Labor Day Weekend!

Your comments are very much appreciated!

  1. Love the peek into your space. Last visit I lost internet midway so nearly missed this one!! I love the look of the new TH stencils – small & cute!! Your shelves look highly organised. It seems like you have a big space. Ooooh I am really suffering in my tiny area – just not enough space for everything & don’t want to cull in case as things cost a fortune to get to me here. I love that stamp with the sentiment but am surprised it doesn’t have straight edges…not that I know too much about stamps…I want to ask you about archival inks as I am now stamping on almost every layout. I have that black Ranger one but not many other colours yet. If you ever have time I would appreciate any advice/ or a post on stamping, inks, equipment & what’s best as I want to start building my collection. I love that huge stamp in the bottom image. I need to collect some background stamps so would love to know where that came from!!

Helen I’ll write you privately but am sharing here that the BG stamp in question is from Wendy’s Label It Art set, in case anyone else is wondering.
