Two Friends’ Favorite Blog Posts (#3)

Two Friends' Favorite Blog Posts #4 (Marjie Kemper)Welcome to another installment of my occasional series called Two Friends’ Favorite Blog Posts.

Welcome to the third installment of my series called Two Friends’ Favorite Blog Posts. You can see the the earlier posts here:  TFFBP#1: August and TFFBP#2: September.   I am delighted to call both of today’s artists friends.  Their mission was to identify one of their favorite posts of all time. As these are both long time bloggers, I’m sure it was tough to choose.

Kaz Hall

Kaz lives in the U.K.  We met online through blogging and online challenges, and we’ve had the pleasure of spending time together several times in person as well.

Kaz Hall

Kaz says, “Here’s one of my favourites ever. I made it for the Ranger designer challenge at Creativation 2017. I love to work with layers and texture, and this project challenged me as I needed it done in a certain time! (It was a labour of love as I don’t think I slept, ate or spoke to anyone for two days solid while I made it.) It also includes some of my vintage findings (scissors and keys) which I love to re-purpose and try to bring back to life.”  You’ll find the full project with additional photos on Kaz’s blog.

Renee Zarate

I first met Renee in 2012 at a Dyan Reaveley workshop in Massachusetts. You probably know her work from the many times she’s been published in Stampington publications. Renee lives in South Carolina and she’s chosen beautiful journal work to share with us.

Renee Zarate

Renee says, “This is my favorite image (right now) because it shows how to create your own faces using Distress Crayons and Stencil Girl stencils for the face and the background. I had an article published in the Autumn 2017 issue of Art Journaling magazine that shows four different faces using the same Distress Crayons and the same stencils and yet each one is so different.”  You’ll find a wonderful tutorial on Renee’s blog.
