Twelve Tags – Day Eleven

2011TimsTag#11I loved the shrink plastic video Tim Holtz shared here today.  I have a melting pot but haven’t used it enough, and didn’t know some of the tips he shared, so that was a big bonus for me in today’s tag.

Tim’s tag was a lot brighter than I tend to go for, so I decided to do my own thing.  I chose a combo of green distress inks and followed along with his technique with H2O on glossy cardstock.

I cut one of his ornaments (Sizzix) out of shrink plastic and shrunk it in UTEE in the melting pot, then colored it with alcohol inks.  The hole I punched closed up, so I ended up drawing a string to hang it from the top of my tag.

The snowman stamp is Tim’s (cut out and popped up on foam tape) and the other stamps are 7 Gypsies.  Inked around the edges with black Archival (soot smeared too much on the glossy paper) and that’s it.

Only one day left…
