Welcome to Week 51 of my Tuesday’s Tutorials blog series, where each week I feature art tutorials created by different artists from around the world. This series has grown from a year-long blog series called Tuesday’s Texture. You can find out more about the transition from one series to the next in this post.
This beautiful collage panel comes from Kaz Hall who lives in the U.K. She is the queen of layering, isn’t she? And I sure do love all the stitching and wide variety of materials used.
I’ve had the pleasure of spending a couple of days in NYC with Kaz and meeting her beautiful family, and I have to say, that gal is up for anything! A woman after my own heart. We went antiquing, stamp shopping, other shopping, danced on the giant piano at FAO Schwartz (years ago, before it closed) and even took a spin on the carousel in Central Park. The pic on the top right is blurry but it’s one of my all-time favorites as she had just survived her very first subway ride!
She is also super talented and kind. Another Art Sistah I wish lived closer… I am grateful for Skype. Be sure to visit Kaz’s beautiful blog to see the full tutorial on this lovely collage project.
I hope you enjoy this weekly feature and that it introduces you to techniques that inspire you, and to artists who may not yet be on your radar.
Thanks for the visit!
