Welcome to Week 32 of my Tuesday’s Tutorials blog series, where each week I feature art tutorials created by different artists from around the world. This series has grown from a year-long blog series called Tuesday’s Texture. You can find out more about the transition from one series to the next in this post.
This lovely creation comes from Deborah Wainwright who lives in Essex, UK. This project was originally published in a post Debs made for That’s Blogging Crafty – you’ll find the tutorial here. I love the way Debs has used color on front and back of the clear acrylic tag and the dreamy qualities evoked by the way she’s combined stamping with those colors.
I hope you enjoy this weekly feature and that it introduces you to techniques that inspire you, and to artists who may not yet be on your radar.
I’ve combined all the art from the two series in one Photo Gallery for easy viewing. You can also see all the art from the two series on my Pinterest Board dedicated to this topic.
On a final note, I am trying something new this month with Periscope. Every Friday morning, I will be do a live from my studio at 11am Eastern time. This is a great way to interact, ask questions in live time, and just say hello. I placed some orders at CHA and will be giving away some goodies each week, too.
New to Periscope? The free Beginners Guide to Periscope will help. Follow me on Twitter and download the Periscope app. You’ll get an alert when I go live and all you do is click in on Periscope and we can talk.
Thanks for the visit! If we’re not already connected, please sign up for my newsletter or find me on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and YouTube.

Nice work. Like that acrylic tag. You are quite the periscope queen now. Bravo.

It is lovely to see Deborah featured here, the tulip stamp has been on my wish list for a few weeks now, but it has moved to the top now! Thanks for sharing this Marjie! I lover your Periscope idea, I will keep an eye out for you. Anne xx
Love this idea but there wasn’t much information on the tag itself in the tutorial. Do you have any idea what the thickness is? More like a fragment or closer to clear cardstock? Thanks for sharing!
I’m not sure Valerie. I’ll ask Deborah to weigh in on this.
Hi Valerie, sorry there wasn’t more info on the tag. It is 2mm thick, so same thickness as grey/whiteboard. Hope that help. Best wishes Debs
Thanks Deb!
Thank you all, for your lovely comments and thank you Marjie for inviting me to share my tag. Debs x
