Welcome to Week 52 of my Tuesday’s Tutorials blog series, where each week I feature art tutorials created by different artists from around the world. This series has grown from a year-long blog series called Tuesday’s Texture. You can find out more about the transition from one series to the next in this post.
This week we have a first – a type of tutorial I’ve never featured before. It’s from Elise Buskey, who lives in the Finger Lakes of New York. These are fabrics that have been sun printed with stencils.
I’ve heard of sun printing but never done it. That may have to change soon! Elise doesn’t have a blog, but she has posted a full tutorial for this project on StencilGirl’s website. Be sure to visit StencilGirl to see Elise’s full tutorial.
With very few supplies Elise has created the most gorgeous custom fabric!
I hope you enjoy this weekly feature and that it introduces you to techniques that inspire you, and to artists who may not yet be on your radar. I’ve combined all the art from the two series in one Photo Gallery for easy viewing. You can also see all the art from the two series on my Pinterest Board dedicated to this topic.
Thanks for the visit!
