The Kathryn Wheel, Part 5



May, already? Time for another calendar page to play along with Kate Crane’s calendar project. For May I used gesso, paint, and Dylusions’ ink sprays on my background.  I added some old chipboard letters which I’d sanded, sprayed, and stamped.  The flowers are a patterned paper I stamped over and cut with Tim’s Tattered Florals Sizzix die. I used a few stencils and some Dyan Reaveley stamps, as well as some Posca paint pens.   Here’s the finished April:


And guess who I got to meet today?  The one and only Kate Crane and the lovely Kaz Hall!  They’re in town for Ranger U, and I had a blast meeting up with them at The Ink Pad in NYC, doing our part to stimulate the economy:

  30. The contrast between the background on the May page and those flowers is absolutely stunning. I love the April background too, with that darker diamond pattern. Beautiful work.
