I am ready for Spring! The calendar claims it started this week but all the snow piled up outside indicates something else. I decided to make a quick Artist Trading Card (ATC) to see if Mother Nature would pick up on my vibes.
Ready for Spring
ATCs are the size of a baseball card, measuring 2.5 X 3.5″. They are meant to be given away or traded, but never sold. Many art groups organize ATC swaps, where members will make a number of the same design, mail them to the host, and receive others in exchange.
This one has Distress Ink on the base, with script text stamped on top of it in Archival Ink. Next a torn bit of paper with the same treatment. The tree is a small part of a Sizzix die, and the tiny letters are from my scrapbooking stash.
Tearing Tip: Tear paper towards yourself to expose the rough ‘tooth’ of the paper as shown above, or tear it away from your body if you want a cleaner line. I like the rough edge that comes from tearing, which I inked up with some brown Distress Ink.
