New Class + a Stencil Winner

Artist Trading Cards workshop - ATC mini album class (Marjie Kemper)

Mini Album with Artist Trading Cards (ATC), Left Open (Marjie Kemper)Mini Album with Artist Trading Cards (ATC), Right Open (Marjie Kemper) I  will be teaching this class twice in 2014 ~ once at The Ink Pad (NY) on February 23, and again at Great American Stamp Store (CT) on March 15. Previously taught at GASS in December 2013 and Absolutely Everything (MA) in September 2013.  (This is a popular class!)

Full details and a brief video are available on YouTube.

 I made a one-minute video to share:

I call this one Demystifying Distress Stains & Dylusions Ink Sprays. I’ve heard a lot of people talk about buying all these wonderful colorants and then forgetting how to use them. I promise you… they are easy, and fun!  We’ll be blending, layering, and building up fabulous backgrounds with these two Ranger products. I’ll bring loads of each for you to try out.

I’ve chosen an ATC accordion album for the project since we have just 3 hours. We can create many different looks on these small pages. Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) are the size of baseball cards.  Add to the book at home using a simple accordion design to make it as long as you like.  Mine measures over 6′ long!

I’ll be using Tim Holtz’s new stencils in class and sharing a number of techniques I learned from him at Ranger U last April.  I’ll bring my Sizzix Vagabond and a lot of textured embossing folders.  You won’t believe how much I bring. We’ll play with Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel, too, and Wendy Vecchi’s Studio 490 embossing paste. Yep, I’m bringing those to share, too. Did I mention stencils???

And now for the winner from the StencilGirl blog hop…
