About Me

Marjie Kemper

I’m a New York mixed media artist who enjoys teaching art workshops nationwide and online.

I also offer a 4-week online course called Teaching Your Passion™ . This is  for  those who want to learn to teach either live or online.  I walk students through the steps necessary to pitch, plan, price, and promote their courses, as well as the myriad steps necessary for vetting opportunities, getting hired, negotiating contracts, successful management of the classroom, and much more.

I currently have an online mixed media workshop available through Craftsy.com, which helps me reach people all across the world.  This is a 7-lesson workshop focusing on all sorts of techniques with distress inks, distress stains, and Dylusions ink sprays.  Students obtain lifetime access and can watch the class as many times as they like, whenever and wherever they wish.

I am a Certified Ranger Educator and an active member of both the Association For Creative Individuals (AFCI) and the Craft Industry Alliance (CIA). Find out more on Linked-In.

Free Groups

I enjoy hosting two active and engaged Facebook Groups.  Tips for Teachers is for those who teach, or want to teach, their skills and passions to others. We have a largely art-focused group, but all are welcome. Half an Hour of Art is a group where members encourage one another find 30 minutes per month to be creative, at a minimum.  Both are drama-free supportive environments where positivity is key.

Join my free communities... one is for those who want to teach classes and one is for those who seek more time to be creative

I enjoy participating in online and print challenges, and I’m active in social media. I also maintain a YouTube channel with video tutorials. It’s a pleasure forming friendships with artists and crafters around the world, and it’s been my great fortune to meet many of them in person.

I’m proud to be an OttLite Ambassador. I’ve been using OttLites for over 15 years, so this is a super fit for me.
