Lately I've been playing a lot with doors and windows. The repeating window in this spread is a stamp from Darkroom Door and the tall flowers on the right are from Donna Downey. I've used paints, archival inks, and Dylusions Ink Sprays for the color, along with a white Posca paint pen.
Lots of stencils (of course!), a few ‘mop up' tags added to the page, and some old chipboard letters painted black. The round mandala stencil highlighted in white is a new one from Rebekah Meier.
I like this kind of journaling as I'm a fan of messy and grungy. I also like to try different things, and sometimes (but rarely) I do have pages with clean lines. My friend Carolyn Dube had a great post last week about not getting caught up in trying to be perfect – it's definitely worth a read. Your journal is for YOU and anything goes!
