Journaling ~ Hoping for Spring

I know we still have a month to go till Spring but there's more snow outside than I know what to do with after the Nor'Easter that blew in here Thursday.    I'd sure love to see some of these bright colors outside, instead of the vast whiteness that's really there.  It's been a long winter here in New York!  Here's what it looked like outside my kitchen door on Thursday, around noon:

And here's what it looked like 24 hours later:

Schools were closed both days, of course. They allow 5 snow days in the school calendar each year, and we'd already used them up before this storm came.  So now the district is calling for school to be open and the days made up in April, during the Spring Break.  Yikes!  It does look pretty out:

But for now I'll just hold HOPE for Spring with my bright colors in the journal today. Thanks for visiting. Hope you are somewhere warm and cozy!

What incredible colours – I am presuming Dylusions as not seen another spray give such intensity… NEED to give in & start ordering Dylusions. Avoided as all spray get blocked up but have to have these colours! Tfs :)

I love your bright zingy colours, Marjie! We are still doing flooding here and in France but your snow looks pretty grim too,

While you were looking at this snow, I was looking at the warm blue waters of the Caribbean! OK, I looked at it when we got back Sunday night and couldn’t get into our driveway! I, too, am looking toward Spring! Nice art, my friend!

Well even if Spring does not get there quickly, your journal page is certainly a breath of Spring Air! Love those flowers and gorgeous background! The weather is just insane all over and just be safe! Hugs!

I do hope it’s warming up for you! It’s been a heck of a winter! Love your vibrant tones and warm feel on this! Beautiful!

Wow….that is a LOT of snow. We got about 4 inches here last week, then freezing rain, then more snow. In North Carolina!!!! This journal page is so beautiful with its deep purple background and vibrant flowers popping through the darkness. It does give me hope! Stay warm and well, my friend!

This is such a beautiful page for spring, Marjie. I love the fun patterns and bright colors on the flowers. We are lucky to have warm weather these days in Dallas. Hope spring will come your way soon. :)

Gorgeous journal page, the flowers look great against the background. I hope the snow starts to melt very soon for you. It looks lovely but I’m glad we haven’t had any so far.

Your pages are pure sunshine and lots of hope with all that snow!
Here in Italy we have for 3 days an early Spring…but tomorrow we’ll be Winter again..pfiiiiiuuuuu

The snow is so beautiful but thankful to say, it isn’t outside of my window! I love to see it but it can cause such havoc, we are not equipped in the U.K. to deal with that amount of snowfall.
The colours are sizzling, I’d say you have skipped spring and moved right on to Summer and who can blame you with the temperatures you are suffering.
As I say, bold and beautiful.

Really a lot of snow. Your journal page rocks – love the bright colors.

A beautiful page, Marjie!!! We are supposed to get some warm days this week… it will be nice!!!!!

Love your page of hope! Glorious colours, though I must say the pristine snow also looks utterly beautiful… After endless rain and gales, we had a day of glorious sunshine today, and it really did feel like Spring. I suspect normal service will be resumed tomorrow though. Stay safe.

Oh Marjie I love those flowers, I miss the spring as well!

  17. Barbara Albrecht on February 16, 2014 at 1:51 pm

Love the project Marjie!! When I see pictures of the snow this year I thank God I moved away from it years ago. I do hope you guys are all ok…winter has been brutal for a large portion of our country. I love the beauty of new fallen snow but don’t miss anything else that goes along with it.

  18. Anne R on February 16, 2014 at 1:23 pm

Oh wow, what glorious colours Marjie, love the way you have done the flowers, it certainly has brightened up my day! The snow looks fabulous – from inside the house anyway, it must have been bad to close the schools. Mind you, if we get half an inch of snow here they close the schools on health and safety grounds. Anyway, take care, keep warm and enjoy looking at it from inside. Hugs, Anne x

Oh Marjie… Breathtaking colors !!! Wow LOVE this project !!!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this bright journal page.
Oh I can easily understand why you are looking forward to spring. Thats the reason we chose to move down to Southern Spain instead of the cold climate in Scandinavia. I also felt the winters were way too long. Hope spring will come your way soon.
PS : our almond trees are blooming….. Yippppeee
    Hugs from SPAIN

I do love the colors you use Marjie – I do prefer deep, bright and vibrant colors. Does bright and vibrant mean the same thing?
Great pictures – I do love snow and think it is so beautiful. We do get some snow but not a lot. If I looked out your window I would probably cuddle up under a throw with a hot cup of something and a good book!

Familiar scene. We live outside Albany. Sure is beautiful but there is a lot of it. Fabulously bold flowers and patterns. Love your page.

Beautiful bright colours and gorgeous flowers, I think we all in the northern hemisphere are looking forward to a Spring, except those lucky people in CA who are having lovely warm weather. Stay safe and warm my friend xx
