Hello! Back today with my second project for Xyron’s 30 Days of Holiday Projects. Loads of projects are linked on Xyron’s Facebook Page. I made napkin wraps for our dinner table (they’re just a bit wider than a regular napkin ring.)
I started by cutting three 3″ strips of 8.5″ X 11″ black card stock and three additional strips of patterned paper from Studio Calico – Magical Collection and American Crafts – Peppermint Express (2 and 3/4″ wide).
I ran the patterned paper strips through my Xyron® 9” Creative Station and adhered them to the black card stock. The patterned paper was 12″ long, so you’ll see there’s a 1/2″ excess.
After cutting off the excess (above), I used my scoring blade and scored at 3.5″ on either side, leaving my center panel 4″ wide.
Fold on the score marks.
I pulled out some Heidi Swapp flowers, Tim Holtz Sizzix dies, and Ranger archival ink.
The Teresa Collins Xyron stapler was perfect for closing the wraps.
I snipped a bit off each edge of the Styled Label die so it would fit my center panel.
After inking the edges with archival ink, I added Ranger’s black enamel accents as decorations on the sides.
I added a Sizzix snowflake, cut from grungepaper and painted white.
Now I just need to make ten more!
Thanks so much for the visit today. I hope you have a great week. Please be sure to visit tomorrow as I have big news coming – I can’t tell you till 1pm Eastern time and it’s been very hard to keep it quiet!!
