Kemper art journal 06232014

It was a pleasure to be asked by Ronda Palazzari to fill in as a Guest Blogger for her today.  I created this page with several of Ronda's stencils, along with inks, paints, stamps, and Sizzix (Tim Holtz) dies.

I've posted a full tutorial over on Ronda's blog with instructions and step-out photos.  If you have time, please let Ronda know I sent you.  I'm linking to Simon Says Stamp's new challenge, which is to use something you don't use enough – for me it's the Tissue Wrap that I've diecut and layered on this page beneath the sentiment and words.  I love the added interest it gives a project, where  it's visible but doesn't steal the scene.

I've just added three new class dates ~ two in September (Massachusetts) and one in November (New York City). Would love to see you at one or more! My July newsletter will have all the details.

Thanks so much for the visit today.  Hope you have a great week!

Note: If you're a new visitor, please connect with me via FacebookPinterestYouTube, or Twitter, or  sign up for my newsletter for a monthly update on where I'm teaching.

Great tutorial, Marjie. Your stamp ‘audition’ is the perfect answer for positioning stamps. I do that too now and then, but should remember to do it more often.

Marjie I want to thank you for the tutorial. Ive had it up on my computer for three days now, following your ‘recipe’ if you will, using my own elements. This has helped me get over the ‘where do I start, what do I do next” hump that usually shuts me down. I’ll be posting my results on FB along with a link to here. Thanks SO much!!!
