Grungy Monday 26

Updated 12/03/2011:  Many thanks to The Artistic Stamper  for naming me Winner of the November (Backgrounds) Challenge for this one!

Grungy Monday #26 is going on this week at Studio L3 and Linda has us revisiting one of Tim Holtz’s cool techniques from the 12 Tags of Christmas.

I chose a sentiment that means something to me.  I  started with a Ranger silver paint dabber and Tim’s flourish stamp, then went with scattered straw, stormy sky, and weathered wood distress inks on the tag.

While my man was masked, I added a Hero script stamp in faded jeans distress ink and then the sentiment (Tim) and the checkered floor (Beeswax)  in black Archival by Ranger.

It’s hard to see the shimmer from the silver paint in the pics, but it’s totally cool in person.I also gave it a spritz of Perfect Pearls Mist.

Artistic Stamper is looking for backgrounds this month and I’m throwing this tag in the hat.

Thanks so much for visiting.  Hope you have a great day!
