“Fearless” Tag Video Tutorial

Welcome! Today I have a 5-minute video showing how I made this tag.  I uesd DecoArt fluid acrylic paints, tissue paper, stamps, and ink. For the word ‘Fearless,’ I chose one of my very favorite word stencils from StencilGirl Products, designed by Carolyn Dube.

Can you tell which one of those hearts gave me trouble? I had a problem but figured out an easy fix while keeping to the layout I had in mind. I tend to deal with problems like this with layers of ink, paint and stencils.

This was fun to do. I’ll be using it as a bookmark in one of the two books that came with The Artist’s Way Starter Kit.  I’ve had the kit for nearly 2 years and am finally going to crack it open and commit to the daily prompts.

I’m making a commitment to start April 1. Want to join me? I’ve started a free Book Club on Facebook. (Book Club now closed) All you need is the book – it’s totally self-paced and you can read more about it in this blog post. Julia Cameron is the author. Since this is a 12-week program, we’ll be done by the end of June. This leaves you six more months to implement your new plans/ideas.

Last but not least, if you are on Pinterest, would you please share one of the above images to Pinterest? Just click the image (or right click if needed) and share to whatever boards are relevant.  Julia’s focus is creativity and self-development as an artist, and I bet many of your boards focus on one or both of those themes.  The more people who see this in the next few weeks, the more likely we will have a lively and informative discussion in the Book Club on Facebook.
