Encaustic Anniversary Card

Anniversary card with Tim Holtz Papillon stamp, heart stamps, and beeswax (Marjie Kemper)Note: This post contains affiliate links. I’ll receive a small commission if you purchase products through my links. It does not affect your cost in any way.

I made this card using Distress Inks, jet black Archival Ink, and Distress Markers. The ATC is dipped in beeswax. The hearts are Tim’s Sizzix Movers & Shapers and the tiny little letter is one of his Idea-ology bubbles. (The E is for the couple’s last name.) The vine is a Martha punch.

I used Tim’s Papillon stamp for text/script on the large tag and two simple script stamps on the rectangle and hearts.  The hearts are an old favorite (Inkadinkadoo) stamp. After stamping it, I masked the stamped hearts before adding the script over them.

I love Distress Inks and was thrilled when Craftsy asked me to teach an online class using them. I also cover Dylusions Ink Sprays, Distress Stains, and lots of other goodies. Check out my online class with Craftsy, which includes lifetime access and a money-back guarantee.  It’s called Inventive Ink: Colorful  Mixed Media Effects.  Here’s a 2-minute preview:

  24. oh, beautiful, Marjie. I love the black on the green – really gorgeous contrast. I really like how you used so many different stamps on the tag portion and then the single stamp on the smaller rectangle – masking out the hearts was a great idea. Really awesome card, I’m sure the recipients will love it!
