Don’t Look Back

Marcia Wallace passed away over the weekend, an actress I've liked since I was quite young.  I remember watching her back on the Bob Newhart show in the 1970s. She's done a million things since then, and my children know her as the voice of a character on the Simpsons. After googling her I was amazed to see the breadth of her career.  She had a full life and the title of her  autobiography was “Don't Look Back, We're Not Going that Way.” How can you not love that?

Hence this page.  A nod to Marcia. I thought the map would be a cool background with the title.  I used a solid mask to cover the map and sprayed Dylusions Ink Sprays over it before adding paint with additional stencils. The little bird is a chipboard beauty from Maya Road that I painted and stamped before adding to the page.  The large words are old alpha stickers and the rest I scribbled out with a Posca paint pen.

On Thursday I'll be back with a project I made using more Maya Road goodies for a blog hop Xyron is doing with Maya Road.  It's going on all week long.

Thanks for the visit!  My next newsletter will go out on Friday, so please sign up if interested.

What a wonderful way to honour an actress you obviously adored.
The stencilled image is so bold and I have to say, the sentiment is something many of us could do to remember, such wise words they are.
