Distress Ink ATC Tutorial
Welcome! I’m celebrating National Craft Month today with some colorful artist trading cards (ATCs) and 2 giveaways:
Next I stamped my focal images with Black Soot Distress Ink and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. My last step was to ink around the edges of each card with the Black Soot Distress Ink and then repeat the embossing process on the edges. I keep my embossing powder in a Tupperware container so I can dip the card straight in and have space to tap the excess powder off without wasting any of it.
Here’s a shot of the finished cards as well as the supplies used. The focal image stamps are all from Paper Artsy.
I’ve created a Distress Ink Blending Checklist for newsletter subscribers. I’d love to send it to you. Click here to get your copy!
And here are the individual cards:
NOW FOR THE GIVEAWAYS: I’m celebrating National Craft Month with a gift of two free seats in my Craftsy class, Inventive Ink: Colorful Mixed Media Effects. You can see a 2-minute preview video below, and leave a comment on the two Giveaway Posts (One Free Class) (Four Free Classes) from last week. I will announce the winners on March 14th. Good luck!
Newsletter subscribers receive an instant discount link for the class, so definitely take advantage of that if you’re interested. The class has lifetime access and you can watch it as many times as you like, whenever and wherever you like. There’s also a forum where you can post your art and ask questions. I’m there each week and happy to answer any questions you may have!
