Compendium of Curiosities 3, Challenge #34

Welcome to our final challenge celebrating Tim Holtz’s book, the Compendium of Curiosities, Volume 3.  The new theme is Layering Stencil: Monoprint, found on page 48. If you still need a copy, you can get an autographed copy from Tim right here.

Before we go any further, I want to thank the lovely and talented Linda Ledbetter, our fearless leader, who came up with this idea and kept the whole Curiosity Crew organized and on track over the last 15 months as we covered 34 challenge themes in the book. It’s been a tremendous pleasure working with Linda and Anita Houston, Annette Green, Candy Colwell, Cheryl Grigbsy, Hels Sheridan, Susan Mostek, and Yvonne Blair. What a fun bunch of amazingly talented women!

Our sponsor this week is The Funkie Junkie Boutique, and a random winner will enjoy a $25 shopping spree on Linda’s online store. There are also prizes donated by Tim and Mario for the Curiosity Crew’s favorite project (they’ve donated a ton of goodies for each of the challenges!)  You’ll find the Rules & FAQs on Linda’s site… please take a moment to read these so you are definitely in the running for the final prizes.

Marjie Kemper mixed media art journal 08012015

I worked in my 9 X 12″ spiral bound art journal and used a combination of Dyan Reaveley’s Dylusions paints and Tim’s Ranger Distress Paints. Plus ink, stamps, and stencils, of course!  The face image is an unmounted cling mount designed by Teesha Moore, and the words are from a stencil Carolyn Dube designed for StencilGirl Products.
