Compendium of Curiosities 3 ~ Challenge #26
Can you believe it's CC3 Challenge 26? That means we've been doing this challenge for a whole year now. Welcome to the newest challenge celebrating Tim Holtz’s book, the Compendium of Curiosities, Volume 3. The theme is Smudge Stamping (found on page 42. If you still need a copy, you can get an autographed copy from Tim right here.)
Our sponsor this week is The Funkie Junkie Boutique, and a random winner will enjoy a $25 shopping spree on their online store. There are also prizes donated by Tim and Mario for the Curiosity Crew’s favorite project. You’ll find the Rules and FAQs at Linda’s site… please take a moment to read these so you are definitely in the running for the prizes.
I haven't made a tag in awhile, and it sure was fun getting out all my inks and having a play. Working on a jumbo (8.5″ tall) tag, I used Mr Bright Idea from Darkroom Door, along with lots of background stamps and stencils. The filmstrip is a Sizzix die, and all the metal is Idea-ology. I had a little glitch coloring his lightbulb head, so I stamped that part of it again on a scrap, colored it, and adhered it onto the tag with matte medium.
Mixed Media Art Membership Group
Have you heard about the Mixed Media Art Membership Group? It's a monthly membership that I host that includes facilitated learning through a Project of the Month (with closed-captioned video instruction), Themed Challenge of the Month, a live Zoom Create-Along Session where we all work on our art together, and lots of resources such as the Project Vault, Technique Vault and Resource Library. Best of all is the supportive and inspiring community we enjoy in our private Facebook Group and the gated private forum on the site where I host the videos and resources.
The group is only open for new members a few times a year, so please add your name to the waiting list to be the first to know when the doors open again. Click here to add your name to the waiting list.
