Welcome to the newest challenge celebrating Tim Holtz’s book, the Compendium of Curiosities, Volume 3. This time our theme is Pocket Pages (found on page 36 – if you still need a copy, you can get one autographed by Tim right here.) I’ve used three different sizes of pockets – a single opening, a double, and a triple. Though the above shot looks like one large page, it’s really six separate pages. These are a super mix of sizes, great for storing memorabilia and ephemera from a trip.
Our sponsor this week is The Funkie Junkie Boutique, and a random winner will enjoy a $25 shopping spree on their online store. There are also prizes donated by Tim and Mario for the Curiosity Crew’s favorite project. You’ll find the Rules and FAQs at Linda’s site… please take a moment to read these so you are definitely in the running for the prizes.
I really like mini albums, especially for special vacations. Last summer we had just that! Here are two single pocket pages. The one on the left is a brochure and the one on the right is a postcard I embellished with some of Tim’s alpha stickers and one of or Metro tickets.
The double pockets are interesting visually in that they are not the same size – they’re more like 2/3, 1/3. A bit of stamping, a receipt with the words ‘thank you’ in French and German, an activities pass and tram receipt. I used Tim’s Chevron on-the-edge die to embellish the tram receipt.
The triple pocket pages are my favorites. I used a combination of stamping, a postcard photo, collage materials, boarding pass, and attractions pass. I love the mix of colors and how much I was able to fit into such a small space.
Oh, yes – in case you missed my last post ~ I’m having a giveaway! Click here for the details.
Hope to see you at CC3C!
