I'm pleased to offer a number of business-related classes for artists and small business owners. In addition to teaching how to teach, my skill set includes demonstrating reliable methods for others to promote themselves and their businesses, both online and through email marketing. Let me help you take the guesswork out of social media marketing and email marketing. It's all very manageable once you know how to do it.
If you want to learn how to self-host your own classes and workshops locally, nationally, or online -- or get hired to teach at established venues such as stores, conferences, and retreats -- this is the class for you. I've taught in all of these venues as well as online for many years, and I am happy to share the tips and tricks of the trade. I cover everything from creating your class idea to pitching it, promoting it, and teaching it. Logistics, contracts, and payment are all included.
When I started my business in 2012, I had to hire out all the graphic design. I was overwhelmed by Photoshop and didn't know there was an easier way. Now I use Canva which is an image editing program that is simple to use! Canva is my go-to tool for creating social media graphics as well as images for my sales pages and newsletter. I can create any graphic I need in minutes. When I teach people how to use Canva, their faces light up as what seemed unattainable quickly becomes EASY.
The biggest difference between email marketing and social media marketing is that you own your email list. Social media platforms come and go. No matter how many followers you have, you won't be able to reach them if the platform goes under. Additionally, the algorithms determine how few people see your actual social media posts. By contrast, once people opt into your email list, they are inviting you into their inbox.
