Buried Treasure with Seth Apter, Take 3

Seth Apter is hosting his 7th Annual Buried Treasure blog series today, and I’m very happy to join in for the third year in a row.  To quote Seth, “So many blogs…so little time. With so many wonderful art blogs to follow, it is difficult to always find the time to keep up with every new post — let alone have the time to visit the posts that were put up before you discovered each blog. So six years ago I started an annual treasure hunt. Buried Treasure is about digging deep to uncover some hidden gems. The premise is simple. This Thursday, July 23rd all participating bloggers will re-post one (or more) of their favorite posts that ever appeared on their blog. As you might already know, I don’t like too many rules when it comes to art. So anything goes.”

Seth Apter's Buried Treasure Series

Here’s what I shared in 2013, and here is my 2014 post.  For 2015, I’m sharing these three posts:

Tuesday's Tutorials (Marjie Kemper Weekly Blog Series)

Tuesday’s Texture Becomes Tuesday’s Tutorials

This post explains how a year-long blog series grew and transformed into a weekly Tuesday’s Tutorials post I share featuring different artists from around the world.  It’s one of my favorite things on my website now, and I just love the community that has gathered around us in the Tuesday’s Tutorials Facebook Group, which is open to all artist to share their own Tutorials in a supportive and sharing environment.  Feel free to join us there.

I’ve really enjoyed my time creating with the talented team working on the Compendium Challenges.  We have been at it for 15 months, we’ve worked through the whole book, and we have just ONE challenge left.  Please join us at CC3C.

Online Class is Live!  Inventive Ink: Colorful Mixed Media Effects

It was a really amazing and interesting experience flying out to Denver to film my online class with Craftsy earlier this year. The class went live in April, and the response has been overwhelming.  You have lifetime access, and you can watch it as many times as you like, whenever and wherever you like.  There are 7 segments and I cover all sorts of blending techniques, building up backgrounds in art journals, working on tags, etc.  You can see more here.

Thanks to Seth for sharing his blog space, and thank YOU for the visit!  If we’re not already connected, please sign up for my newsletter or find me on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, or Twitter.
