Thanks so much for your amazing response to my new site launching. I appreciate all the support very much!  Minor glitches have been fixed and it seems like all is well, though I did have to lose the old Networked Blogs feature and put in a new one for this blog.  If you can stand one more click, please join me there in the sidebar.

Today I'm back with a project created for Darkroom Door.  Did you know Darkroom Door has paper products, in addition to stamps? The Bright Blossoms collection looks like total eye candy to me. I was completely taken by the vivid images of the flowers, and the tremendous variety of sizes and shapes included in the collection.  These can be used in so many different projects based on their scale alone.

I decided to paint an inexpensive wood frame from the craft store with a few coats of black acrylic paint, to allow the the flowers to pop against the background.

I cut and inked the edges of selected parts of the Bright Blossoms Montage and Filmstrips, and adhered them to my frame with matte medium.

I love the way this came out and think it'll be a happy piece of wall art here in my home.  Thanks for visiting today.  I'm linking to Creative Every Day.  Be sure to check out the Darkroom Door blog for more ideas.

Marjie

Products used:

Bright Blossoms – Montage

Bright Blossoms – Filmstrips Vol 1

Bright Blossoms – Filmstrip Vol 2

This would look amazing hanging in a home. I could imagine it in a hallway or suchlike, what a lovely sight for someone stepping into a house giving them a burst of colour and warm welcome.
A creative use of the images.
