Book Club ~ The Artist’s Way

I’ve formed a new Book Club on Facebook focused on Julia Cameron’s wildly popular book, The Artist’s Way.  We’ll share our observations and plans in the Book Club on Facebook and discuss the book beginning April 1 (that will give everyone time to get a copy). Feel free to join now, introduce yourself, and get the party started!

This book is all about creativity.  It’s billed as a Course in Discovering and Recovering Your Creative Self. I bought it a few years ago as part of The Artist’s Way Starter Kit and unfortunately never got around to reading it.

I picked it up a few days ago and realized it’s based on a 12-week program. What was I waiting for!?!? That’s not too long a commitment, is it?  With it being a 12-week program, we’ll be done before the end of June. Which leaves you the second half of the year to implement your new plans/ideas.  I really like that idea.

The first line of Chapter One reads, “One of our chief needs as creative beings is support.”

This makes all the sense in the world to me, and I think by going through the lessons together and sharing our thoughts in the Book Club, we will be a great source of support for one another.

If you are interested, grab a copy of the book before April 1. We will officially kick off  on April 1st with Chapter One, but you can join in anytime.  In fact, it would be great if you join the Book Club on Facebook now, introduce yourself, share your social links, etc. before we get started.

There are many editions of the book and I’m sure you’ll be fine with whatever you pick up, or you may already even own a copy.  For clarity, the photo above shows the editions I’ll be working with, and these are the ones I will be referencing in the Book Club:

These are affilliate links via Amazon (it doesn’t affect your price at all, but I receive a small commission if you buy through these links):

I can’t wait to see who joins and how many of us creatives will band together for this short-term experience!

Pick up your book(s) above, and join the Book Club on Facebook today. Incidentally, I am sure this book will inspire artists of all kinds – visual arts, writers, photographers, etc. Please share with your friends on Facebook.

Thanks for the visit!  If we’re not already connected, please sign up for my newsletter or find me on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, or Twitter, and Periscope.
