Have you heard about the Pinterest Rotating Showcase? They rolled it out last week. It’s a new format option for business account users. It allows you to tailor the first five boards a visitor sees. It takes next to no time to set up, which is great.
If you’ve not engaged this new tool, your page viewers will see the usual grid format on your Pinterest home page. Depending on how wide their screen is, they will see 1-8 columns of Boards.

Once you engage the tool, viewers will see a rotating slide show at the top of your page. The normal grid format will follow. On my Pinterest account, I’ve selected these five Boards for first view: Tutorials, Art Journals, Classes I Teach, Mixed Media/Canvas/Collage, and Thanks for Pinning my Art.
This is exceptionally handy for people who have seasonal boards. If you want to promote holiday content, now is the time to have those Boards front and center.
Besides this update, they’ve included tabs you can click to choose between seeing a person’s Boards and their recent Pins. It’s nice being able to see what’s caught someone’s eye recently.
