ATC Triptych – Tim Holtz theme

ATC Triptych with TIm Hotz stamps 2011 Marjie Kemper

I spent some time blog surfing today and came across two ATC groups that I know I want to follow closely.  Fun With ATCs was the first one and I’m joining in with their Challenge #35.  I had heard of triptych ATCs but hadn’t seen any until today.  Wow!  They can be simple or intricate but I liked every single one I saw.   The second group  ATC Challenges  is just starting its challenges and I am joining in on their very first one.

I wanted to try this immediately and totally enjoyed putting it together.  I made it using Tim Holtz stamps (and one from Wendy Vecchi’s Studio 490 line – the cut out sentiment on the right ATC), olive green and jet black Staz-on, forest moss distress ink, a fragment, and some unknown patterned paper stash. I cut three ATCs from the patterned paper using Tim Holtz’s Sizzix die.  The bird is one of Tim’s new Sizzix dies and I gave her a black enamel accents eye.  I kind of liked adding a bit of black to each panel.

I really enjoyed this.  There’s something about having separate yet similar pieces that really appeals to me. I saw one today where the stamps were continued from one panel to the next and that will be my next effort. Loved the way that looked.

Unfortunately Blogger had problems all day today so I was unable to leave comments on anyone’s Blogger blog.  But ladies, I salute you! You’ve opened up a whole new world of fun for me.

Hope you all have time to get your fingers inky, sticky, painty, or whatever your preference may be this weekend…

Your comments are very much appreciated!
