Art Journaling with Tags

Marjie Kemper art journal with tags

One of the things I love the most about stamps and stencils is that they allow you to create your own patterned paper without ever having to go shopping. The options are endless! I made the tag on the left side of this spread while filming my online class with Craftsy (Inventive Ink ~ Colorful Mixed Media Effects) I talk in that lesson about how you can use even a scrap of patterned paper as a base, and then build out interest with colors and patterns of your own.

This crowned diva is one of my favorite stamps from Paper Artsy, and most of the stencils are well-loved faves from StencilGirl Products. If you’d like to check out a brief trailer of the class, click here to see the 2-minute video.  If you do sign up for the class, I’d love it if you use this link, as instructors earn a little bit more when people sign up directly from them rather than from the host site.
