Art Journaling with Gelatos

Art Journaling with Faber Castell Gelatos (Marjie Kemper)

Thanks for coming by today. I'm happy to have a new art journal page to post. I've taught in four different states in the last four months, and that makes creative time quite limited. Don't get me wrong, it was a real pleasure to meet so many people (and connect with so many, personally) and share my love for creating, but it's great to be back home for a few months and have time to make art, too.

This one's made with Faber Castell Gelatos and a gorgeous face image from StencilGirl Products, designed by Andrea Matus Demeng. The border is a Dyan Reaveley stamp and the word is cut from a fabulous but ancient roll of bookbinding tape. Linking to Art Journal Every Day.

I'm working on my November newsletter, which will have a discount code for subscribers who are interested in my online mixed media workshop with Craftsy. You'll have lifetime access and can watch as many times as you like, whenever and wherever you like. Sign up here and it'll be in your inbox on November 1.

I absolutely LOVE the colors of this Gelatos piece. They are so vibrant. I have never used Gelatos, but I’m more curious than ever, now that I have seen the great color they give.
Thanks for sharing your work and ideas.

Brilliant use of the Gelatos. I have a few, 3-5, but tend to overlook them.
    That is a fabulous stencil.

This is very nice! Maybe one day you will teach a class on how to effectively use Gelatos? I have several but have been a bit lax to use them….

I’ve never been much of a lover of orange or yellow, but I really love your latest journal page Marjie! The orange and yellow really look good together, and I just love the big stamp!
