Kemperjournalbrickwall

I wanted to make something with the Brick Wall Background stamp from Darkroom Door, and I decided to use it in a muted way on the page, and in a more prominent way on my question.  I googled ‘brick wall quotes' to find something good… and I REALLY like the one I found from George Lucas.

I stamped the Brick Wall onto manila card and diecut letters from it using the Sizzix Block Talk die.  I also stamped it repeatedly on the page using Distress Inks, then colored it with Distress Stains, leaving a very subtle background.  You can see some of the wall showing through in the photo below:

Here's the quote I printed onto the Sizzix ticket die:

The giant flowers are from Donna Downey.

Well of course I love it because of the colors but, I love the way that you used the brick stamp without it being that noticeable–the perfect touch. Great words!

So rich. We all face the walls that stop us or think they are. Breaking through them is a tough one.. George’s quote is powerful and true.

Your red brick wall with wild flowers growing up from the cracks along the (imagined) sidewalk is the perfect backdrop for this great inspirational quote, Marjie! Well thought out, well choreographed, well done!!
