First, thank you all so much for all the enthusiasm and encouragement on my two earlier posts this week! I truly appreciate everyone taking the time to visit and to comment. And to my new followers… welcome!
This week Simon Says Stamp wants to see stamping without ink. No problem! Paint is an excellent medium for stamping. You just need to be sure to use it sparingly if you want to get a decent print. I use a small makeup wedge to apply it directly to my stamps, thanks to a tip from Julie Fei-Fan Balzer. Also linking this to Julie’s Art Journal Every Day.
I used layers and layers of paint and stencils from both The Crafters Workshop and Stencil Girl Products. The letters are smudged with black gelatos by Faber Castell. I used black paint on the circle and flower stamps. Here are a few closer looks:
Fashionable Stamping Challenges has a musical theme this week and my words are lyrics from a Tom Petty song… The Waiting. Hope that song won’t be stuck in your head today… the waiiiiiiiting is the haaaaaaardesssssst part!
Thanks for the visit. Hope you have a great day.
