Hello, friends! Thanks for all your support and enthusiasm over my new site and the Tim Holtz Prize Package. I used random.org to generate a number from each possible method of entry (blog comment, newsletter subscribers, facebook friends, etc.) and then pulled a final random number from that group. And the winner is…Debi Ryan!
Hey Marjie, I finally made it over to your new site- looking good
I’m now network following you as well as already following you on Pinterest, Thanks for the chance to win this awesome Candy Best of Luck with your new ventures, Debi x
Congratulations, Debi! Send me your mailing address and I’ll get the prize package right to you. Now on to today’s project:
Here’s a spread I made in my Dyan Reaveley art journal to play along with the Gears challenge at Unruly Paper Arts this month. I used Tim Holtz’s Sizzix gears and flourish dies and embedded several of each to my page with Gesso.
Next came the new Mustard Seed Distress Paint and some Golden fluid acrylics followed by stamping in jet black Archival Ink. I used lots of stencils with Pan Pastels, being sure to set the chalks by stepping outside and spraying coats of Workable Fixatif in between layers. Here are some detail shots:
I used black Enamel Accents to create faux chains to hang my birdcages and to make table legs for the cage on the bottom left.
Thanks so much for visiting today. I hope you’ll find time this month to join in the Gears challenge over at Unruly Paper Arts. Also linking Inspiration Journal, Simon Says Stamp and Show, and Creative Every Day.
