Art Journal ~ Closer

Motivation Stamp Set

Happy Wednesday! The sentiment in this art journal is one of four quotes from Tim Holtz's new Motivation 3 stamp set. I love how positive all four sentiments are that come in this set, as well as the mix of font types and sizes that Tim has used on each one.

The others read “Do what you love and love what you do,” “Believe you can and you are halfway there,” and “Do it now… sometimes later becomes never.”  Blue links are affiliates which can be used at no cost to you.

Art Journal - Closer (Marjie Kemper)

I used this stamp in my smallest art journal. The book measures just over 4X6.”  My largest one is 9X12 so this is pretty tiny!  After applying a few layers of paint, I added some Aristocrat Design Tape (like washi tape, but in a variety of widths and designs) and a bit of stamping and stenciling.

Night Photography

Using my OttLite for night time art journal pics

It was night time when I took these pics, but my OttLite illuminates them beautifully. I am an OttLite ambassador and have been using their lamps for eons!

Small art journal page - Closer than I was yesterday (Marjie Kemper)

Today's post is super short and sweet as we are digging out from the Blizzard that hit us here in New York yesterday. This was the view out my back door!
