Art Auction ~ #BringBackOurGirls

#BringBackOurGirls Marjie Kemper

Today the A Call to Art auction goes live in support of GirlRising (a global campaign for girls’ education) and #BringBackOurGirls.  Today marks once month since nearly 300 schoolgirls were abducted in Nigeria.  I can’t imagine the anguish they and their families are experiencing.  There was a video released on Sunday showing at least 120 of the girls are still alive, and together.  May it be so for the rest, and may they soon be safely rescued.

The A Call to Art auction includes pieces from each of the artists listed below, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to GirlRising:

  • Jessica Sporn
  • Linda Kittmer
  • Ronda Palazzari
  • Marjie Kemper
  • Judy Shea
  • Glenda Hoagland
  • Astrid Maclean
  • Lisa Pace
  • Jackie Neal
  • Claudine Criner
  • France Papillon
  • Kristin Van Valkenburgh
  • Marcia Beckett

Jessica Sporn is the artist behind this idea, and I am so impressed by her thinking and rallying call… we will make a small difference with this united action.

Please visit the auction and share it with your friends on social media.  The more, the merrier… let’s help girls who are in dire need.

Thanks so much.

Marjie

  1. I am shocked that I missed this.
What a stunning show of rally from you and the other artists as this is so important, for the missing girls (it breaks my heart to even consider what has and is happening in their lives at this moment) and all girls whose right it is to an education and a free life.
Marjie, bravo to you and the others for allowing your art to be such a powerful tool.

    Wishes
    Lynne
