Altered Clocks Challenge

Won’t you join us at Eclectic Paperie for the current eTeam Get Altered challenge?  The theme is Altered Clocks for this challenge, hosted by Erin Smetak.  I had a lot of fun giving a thrift store a clock a makeover:

After I coated it with Gesso and let it dry overnight, I painted it with a heavy body acrylic and brought out a large gears stencil:

I sprayed with with London Blue Dylusions Inks Spray:

After that dried, I used an ink blending tool to apply jet black Archival Ink through several different small stencils.

Next step was to use the Sizzix Word Play die for my clock  numbers, and to run them through my Xyron® 1.5” Create-a-Sticker:

Last, I coated the surface with a few sprays of Krylon Workable Fixatif to seal it before reattaching the clock hands.
Thanks so much for visiting!  I hope you’ll join us at eclectic Paperie for this challenge, which is open through Wednesday, April 17.
I’m also linking to Lisa Somerville’s Bloggers’ Challenge and Creative Every Day.
