100 Days of Artsy Index Cards, Days 61-80

Welcome to Artsy Index Cards, Days 61-80.  I'm nearing the finish line on this 100 Day Project.  This batch is my favorite so far. I've used a ton of Ranger Distress products as well as Dylusions Ink Sprays, paints, and mediums.

100 Days of Artsy Index Cards, Part 4

Artsy Index Cards - Days 61-64 of 100 (Marjie Kemper)

Days 61-64

Besides stamps, I've included some of Tim Holtz's chipboard sentiments and even the fortune from a Fortune Cookie.  I also used some of my Sizzix texture fades. The first index card shown below has an artist trading card that I embossed with a clock texture fade. A texture fade is an embossing folder that pushes a pattern through your paper.  You'll see the same technique on the card beneath it, but on that one I embossed the entire card.

The yellow index card with the girl shown below is one of my favorites. It's a mini tag on a larger tag on an index card with texture paste.

I also used up quite a bit of washi tape on this go around. You can see it in a single strip in the first card below, as well as in the entire background of the second (hot air balloon) card below.

My cards are all 4″ X 6″.  I've been pretty consistently surprised by how much I can fit onto that small piece of paper. I like to think of these as mini art journal pages.

    These are super Marjie!
Do you think you will bind them together or put them in some holder?
I too love the yellow one, but please don’t ask me to pick a favorite- because they are all quite beautiful! Your style always brings such beautiful color front & center- I love that! May I ask what type of substrate you used? Or all they all different?

Thanks, Jackie! They are all index cards. In a few cases I adhered patterned paper to them but for the most part they are just standard cards.

These are all fabulous and as you say they are like mini journal pages! I have never used index cards but do love playing in my small journals! Chrisx
