Xyron ~ Something Old and Something New (Tutorial)

Kempercanvas4222013
Over on the Xyron blog, w’re having a fun design team challenge this week ~ all of the team members are giving makeovers to some of the older projects on the blog.  Mine was inspired by this project which used four canvases:

I used an 8″ X 10″ canvas as my base, and attached four 2.5″ canvases to it.  First I cut patterned paper (Prima) to fit the mini canvases, inked them with Black Soot Distress Ink and ran them through my Xyron® 9” Creative Station:

I taped the canvases down to my craft sheet and then applied black paint (with a dabber through a stencil) to mimic the original project:

I stamped my sentiment stamps and again inked the edges with distress ink:

I made stickers out of those small pieces using my Xyron® 1.5” Create-a-Sticker:

I cut a few Sizzix border strips and made stickers out of them as well:

I finished off my project with a Prima flower, tucked a little notebook border punch on the right, and spelled out my title using Thickers alphabet letters:

Thanks so much for visiting today!  Be sure to check out the Xyron blog all week as the team does a makeover of 18 of the projects on the blog this week.
